Accessibility
Our commitment
Amnicon Pty Ltd aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across this website. The site should be usable whatever technology or ability a visitor brings to it, and accessibility is treated as part of building it rather than something checked at the end.
What we do
- Semantic markup — one page title per page, headings in order, and landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the structure.
- Navigation, menus, forms and controls operate by keyboard. Anything revealed on hover is also reachable by keyboard focus, and shown outright on touch devices.
- Text alternatives on imagery. Alt text is a required field on every image and is validated before content can be published.
- Colour and contrast are measured against the AA thresholds. A small number of deliberate exceptions are noted below.
- Motion respects the operating system’s reduce-motion setting throughout — smooth scrolling, transitions and reveals all switch off when it is on.
- Automated accessibility checks run against every change before it ships, alongside manual screen-reader testing of each page template.
Known limitations
Third-party content embedded in these pages — map and video players in particular — is built and maintained by its providers and may not meet the same standard. Where such an embed carries information, the equivalent is given in text — a mapped project also states its location in writing.
A small number of display elements set in the brand green fall below the AA contrast ratio for text. These are known, deliberate exceptions and are under review.
