About

Amnicon builds the places Victorians learn, gather, train, work and come home to. We started in 2017 with a $255,000 medical centre renovation in rural Elmhurst. Today we're delivering a $12.7 million school hall in Coburg — and twenty-four other projects in between, across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

We are privately owned, we have grown on the strength of the work rather than the size of a marketing budget. A $250,000 reception refit and a multimillion-dollar community facility get the same supervision, the same safety systems and the same people answering the phone. Small enough that a director knows your project by name. Big enough to carry it.

Clients notice, and they come back — rAll of Amnicons projects are for a returning client. In Newport we delivered an education centre, then were asked back for its next stage. Being invited to extend a building you constructed is the clearest endorsement this industry offers.

We work as head contractor, predominantly under fixed lump sum contracts. Our estimates are built on measured costs, not assumptions, so the number we commit to is one we can stand behind. When something shifts on site, you hear it from us early, with a solution attached.

Twenty suburbs and towns so far, three sites running now, and work booked into 2027. And no site too far — Elmhurst is two hours from our office in Melbourne's west, and we took it anyway.

Discipline. Straight answers. Clients who come back. And our name on the buildings a community uses every day. This is Amnicon.

Started small. Built properly.

Amnicon was founded in 2017 and has been self-financed from day one. Our work spanned Victoria from the very start — a medical centre in rural Elmhurst alongside education and multi-unit projects in Melbourne — and every job was priced honestly, supervised closely and finished to a standard we would put our own name on. Because we did.

Growing with our clients

The builder communities call back

Our early education and community clients kept returning, and their referrals opened new sectors: childcare, aquatic and sporting facilities, mixed-use and commercial work. In Newport, we delivered the AIC Education Centre in 2021 and were invited back for the Stage 2 expansion now underway. Being asked to extend a building we constructed is the clearest endorsement we know.

Today

One team, every sector, wherever we're needed

Today Amnicon delivers everything from focused renovations to the $12.7 million Multi-Purpose Hall for the Australian International Academy — our largest project so far, with bigger already in our sights. The scale keeps growing. The approach does not: the same management systems, the same safety standards and the same people who answer the phone, on every site from Broadmeadows to Bendigo.

“We have never set out to be the biggest builder in Victoria. We set out to be the builder communities trust with the places that matter most to them, and then to earn that trust again on the next project.”

Services

Four services sit under everything we build. Most clients come to us for construction alone — but the earlier we are involved, the more we can carry, and the fewer surprises reach the site.

Our projects run from a $250,000 reception refit to a $12.7 million school hall, and average a little over $2 million. No brief is too focused or too ambitious. We build across seven sectors — education, childcare, community, sport, commercial, mixed-use and residential.

We work throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, and favour local trades with proven records wherever the site allows. Twenty suburbs and towns so far, from Coburg to Bendigo, Lara and Elmhurst.

We keep our footprint as small as the job allows — recycling, material reuse and waste segregation on every site, with procurement planned to cut waste before it ever reaches us.

Quality does not have to mean expensive. We price from measured costs rather than assumptions, and look for buildability savings early, while they are still savings and not variations.
