    Landmark minaret

A prayer facility and community sports centre on one site, delivered in managed stages — current works include the centre's landmark minaret.

A genuinely multi-purpose development uniting a place of worship with facilities for sport and community gathering. Staged delivery (1A and 1B) lets the facility progress in a structured way while parts of the site remain in use.

Combining a prayer facility with a sports centre means reconciling very different functional requirements under one roof — the calm of a worship space alongside the robust demands of sporting facilities, each with distinct servicing, acoustic and finish requirements.

The defining element is the minaret — a landmark that gives the centre its identity on the East Bendigo skyline. Constructing a slender vertical element of this kind takes particular attention to structure, tolerance and finish; it stands as the signature of the completed precinct.
