A purpose-built childcare centre in Epping, delivered as the anchor of a combined development that also brought retail offices and medical facilities onto the same site.
Building an early learning centre inside a mixed development adds a layer most childcare builds never face: the centre needs its own secure entry and drop-off, acoustic separation from the tenancies beside it, and protected outdoor play — all while three different uses, each with its own compliance and services requirements, move through one construction programme.
Amnicon delivered the full development under a fixed lump sum contract, completing in April 2021 after an eighteen-month build — early proof the business could carry childcare, clinical and commercial standards through a single programme.
The project set the template for our mixed-use work — several uses, one accountable builder.
