Aquatic and recreation facilities are among the most demanding building types in construction, and this centre stacked several of them vertically: a 25-metre pool at its heart, a mezzanine gymnasium above, and a multi-purpose hall on the third level.

A pool of this scale brings engineering few buildings face — significant structural loads, complex hydraulic and filtration systems, humidity and ventilation control, and waterproofing that must be executed flawlessly. Layering active uses above added acoustic separation, vibration control and services coordination so each level operates independently.

Commissioning was critical: progressive testing and sign-off of aquatic, mechanical and building systems to ensure every element performed to specification before handover. The result is a genuine hub for swimming, fitness and gathering.

The most complex build in Amnicon's sport and aquatic portfolio — and the technical benchmark every project since has inherited.
